Allstate Insurance Co., battered over the past 15 months by seven of the 10 most-expensive catastrophes in the company's history, is taking steps to reduce its exposure to disasters by discontinuing writing residential and commercial earthquake coverage in most of the nation, including Ohio . The company also is planning to shed some of the 407,000 earthquake policies it has in force nationwide.

"What we're doing is a prudent action to reduce property exposure to catastrophic events," Karen Spica, a spokeswoman for the Chicago-based company, told Business First.

Offshore seismic indicators from west of the Baja northwards to the tip of the Juan de Fuca region are mounting. Movement of the pressure zones there point to more of a southern Californian flurry.

Now that we have moved past the vernal equinox last week and now have today’s Middle Eastern total solar eclipse, a part of saros eclipse cycle 139 behind us, we can begin to look beyond these dates which historically, whether accurately or not, have been viewed as harbingers of events yet to come. Across the globe chatter persists that something big is lurking. This upcoming time frame may yield not just one major event but maybe a series of smaller events bound together by tight temporal placement. The emotional state of humans on this planet is wound up tight in anticipation!

Scalar EM activities persist across many global tectonics plates but seem to be more tightly focused on the Pacific Ring of Fire plus additional energy’s in southern and . Important earthquakes continue to be edited out of the USGS’s own data. This action is both curious and un-ethical.

Some West Coast faults have been cleaned out of these accumulated scalar energies twice before during the past 36-39 months, and this action by some benevolent force may yet happen once again. This is an unknowable variable. On one occasion the energies were swept southward to lower latitudes resulting in volcanism in southern Mexico in '03-04 then northward resulting in earthquake swarms off the Pacific Northwest Coast earlier last year. So, twice already California has had its earthquake risk greatly reduced.

The Big Alaskan Denali quake, M 7.9 November 3, 2002, resonated with the Yellowstone caldera beginning a disruption of some measure to that volcanic system.

Strong surface waves from the M7.9 Denali fault earthquake, Alaska, and 3100 to 3150 km distant, had a profound impact on the world-renowned hydrothermal systems of Yellowstone National Park . Coincident with the arrival of the large amplitude surface waves, intense earthquake swarms were remotely triggered throughout Yellowstone ’s major geyser basins. In addition, pronounced changes in the eruption behavior of several geysers were observed throughout the park. These changes may be explained by the interaction between large dynamic strains accompanying the Denali fault earthquake surface waves and hydrothermal fluids of the major geyser basins at Yellowstone National Park .

This planet is on the edge. Let us hope, for those of us that live in the Pacific Northwest that the action begins or remains at the far western, the Asian, portion of the Ring of Fire. Past seismic records have nearly always record that these events kick off a chain reaction series of events. We will not know for certain the when and where until the process begins. However, once that begins...

Preparations for an interruption of municipal services are almost too obvious to mention. Do you remember what happened in New Orleans ? These people had three days to get their act together! Yet once the storm was done and the levee’s breached or blown, chaos at varying levels of intensity was the result. With tectonic driven events there is no three days warning! We just don’t get to watch CNN as the event draws nearer in time. Earthquakes just happen. Pop. Simply there is before and then we have the aftermath. When as individuals, we are in-tune with our higher selves, and listening to the source, we will find that, we and sometimes the ones we care about, are all exactly where we need to be physically when these big events begin to unfold. It may well be that we see the activity confined to Asia and Indonesia this year with the really big events for North America confined to just weather events… and the major Earth changing actions may yet still be a couple of years down the road. All I am doing here is pointing out that man is having an effect in triggering some of these earthquakes much as Defense Secretary Cohen pointed out way back in 1997.
